BEE DANCIN'

Campers will be busy as bees this week as we explore Florida’s native bees, exotic honey bees, and the many other pollinators that keep our ecosystems thriving. They’ll discover how bees communicate through their famous waggle dance, investigate different habitats, and learn how a honey bee hive functions—while also uncovering why most of our native bees don’t live in hives at all. Campers will even “become the hive,” practicing teamwork and communication just like bees. Alongside crafts and outdoor activities, every child will have the chance to meet our insect and reptile ambassador animals and (weather permitting) release a butterfly during the week.
